“In 1972, my parents bought a new car, and I received their old car, a 1963 Chevy Bel Air 4-door with a 230, 6-cylinder engine with three on the tree. Unfortunately, a few years later, it was taken to the wrecking yard.”
In 2019, the owner’s son was at an auction sale and found a 1964 Chevy Bel Air, exactly the same car but one year newer. “I bought it, but after getting it home, I realized the rocker panels and rear quarters were badly rusted. I spent most of the pandemic lockdown year rebuilding and painting the car.
“After it was finished, I had it safetied and now take it to the Sandhills Casino Car Show every year.”
Another gorgeous vehicle to add to our list of highlighted local cruisers!
