The Harley-Davidson Night Train holds a special place in the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts. We found a local one-of-a-kind 2004 Harley-Davidson Night Train with a custom paint job numbered 36 of only 150 done.

As the owner rolled this treasure out of his garage and the sunlight caught its custom paint, all the writer could say was “ohhh that is spectacular,” and it is in every way; to say this bike is close to perfection is truly an understatement!

This bike’s sleek design and vibrant paint perfectly capture its essence of freedom and adventure, but the more you look, the more nuances you find.

The current owner purchased this 2004 Harley-Davidson Night Train from Cycle Boys in 2011 with only 5,000 kilometres on it.

He has changed a few things to give it a sharper and more refined look, a few of those being:

• Chrome Rinehart staggered short-shot pipes were swapped for black Vance & Hines pipes.
• Turn signals were changed from clear to amber glass.
• A seat closely resembling the original seat, but offering more back support for the driver, was swapped in.
• The hand grips and brake pedal were replaced so everything matched, making the bike look more streamlined.
• The original Twin Cam 88 was upgraded to a 95-cubic-inch, giving this baby more power for those cruises you never want to end.

Several other seemingly small but very distinctive add-ons turned this really nice-looking bike into a true showpiece.

The numbered factory custom flame paint features tiny devil tails, setting it apart from other custom flame work.

With a bike that has so much to offer, I had to ask the owner what made it stand out to him.

“What I love the most is the bobtail and rear fender. The paint was also a high point for me. New bikes, for me, just don’t hold the same appeal as an older bike does; they just aren’t the same.”

I doubt you would hear anyone disagree with that sentiment!
