Armand Vallotton elected Reeve of R.M. of Prairie Lakes
After the ballotts were counted Armand Vallotton is the new Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Prairie Lakes. This development signals an exciting opportunity for our community, and we anticipate positive advancements in the near future.
Mr. Vallotton expressed his gratitude, stating, “I am profoundly appreciative of the unwavering support I have received. I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our returning Councilors as well as those who have just been elected. It will be a momentous occasion for all of us as we convene at the Council table.
“While we do not foresee significant changes in the immediate future, several essential projects are on the horizon. Our focus will be on enhancing maintenance and infrastructure, priorities supported by the valuable feedback from our constituents. In collaboration with Chief Administrative Officer Scott Leefe, we will engage with the Public Works Department to develop innovative strategies and effective solutions to address our current challenges.
“It is imperative that we meticulously plan our projects to capitalize on available grants and funding opportunities.
“Transparency remains a cornerstone of my administration. As the newly elected Reeve, I am committed to promoting open communication within our municipality. It is crucial to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures to address them. I look forward to organizing public meetings that facilitate meaningful discussions regarding issues of significance to our community.
“While social media can serve as an effective communication tool, I believe that reliance solely on these platforms for disseminating important municipal information is insufficient. We currently maintain a website and are actively working on an improved version to enhance accessibility.
“Additionally, I encourage community members to contact our dedicated municipal office staff for support, acknowledging that not all constituents have online access. Our Councilors are also available to assist with any inquiries, and our professional office staff can provide necessary contact information.
“One of my primary objectives is to ensure that we actively and constructively respond to the thoughts, questions, and concerns raised by community members.
Furthermore, I recognize the value of building strong relationships with neighboring municipalities and am committed to fostering collaboration and connectivity rather than barriers.
“Above all, I am here to listen to you.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all who participated in the voting process and extend my gratitude to those who have supported me during this journey. Together, we will advance our community in meaningful ways.”
