Glenboro has a new postmaster
Canada Post employee Karissa Grobb has taken over the helm at the Glenboro Post Office following the retirement of Charlotte Adam Herrmann, who stepped away a few months ago after 11 years working at the Glenboro office.
Grobb, who is originally from Killarney, now resides in Treherne with her husband, Nathan, and their three children on the sixth-generation family farm. A 2011 graduate of Glenboro, she is looking forward to reconnecting with many familiar faces in the community.
She has been employed part-time with Canada Post since 2020 and has worked in Treherne and has helped out occasionally in Holland, Rathwell, St. Claude, Elm Creek, and Carman. Grobb said she is excited to begin her new full-time role in Glenboro.
Former Postmaster, Herrmann, commented that the decision to retire was bitter sweet as she loved her position with Canada Post and most especially enjoyed working in Glenboro. “Everyone was so welcoming when I started here and when I went through a great loss, I received so much support from everyone. The staff here was the best.”
As Herrmann passes the post on to Grobb, she extends her congratulations and best wishes as Grobb begins her new role serving the Glenboro community.
