Community comes together for Pelican Lake Agricultural Society Easter breakfast

On April 4th, the Ninette Community Place buzzed with excitement as the Pelican Lake Agricultural Society (Ag Society) hosted its annual Easter Breakfast. This much-anticipated event always brings families and friends together for a morning of good food and festive fun. The highlight of the gathering was the ever-popular Easter Bunny who joined the celebrations, delighting children and adults alike.

The final count showed that fifty adult and twelve children’s brunches were enjoyed by attendees. Guests were treated to a generous spread, featuring perfectly cooked sausage, crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, golden hash browns, and toast. The meal was also accompanied by coffee, tea, and fresh juice, ensuring everyone’s appetite was satisfied.

One of the most memorable moments of the event was the arrival of the Easter Bunny. Children eagerly lined up, their faces filled with joy and anticipation, ready to capture the perfect photograph with the beloved character. The Bunny’s presence added an extra layer of magic to the morning, making it even more memorable.

In addition to the delicious brunch, the excitement continued outside with a thrilling Easter Egg hunt. The Easter Bunny, along with a few energetic helpers, had hidden colourful egg treasures throughout the side yard. After photographs were taken inside and beautifully decorated Easter cookies were shared, the Easter Bunny led the way to the Easter Egg hunt outside, creating more excitement for the kids in attendance. The laughter and cheers from the children as they scoured the area for brightly coloured hidden eggs truly encapsulated the spirit of the day.

Easter baskets were handed out to the youngest participant, as well as to both the girl and the boy who had collected the most eggs.

The Pelican Lake Ag Society Easter Breakfast was another success, fostering community spirit and bringing smiles to many faces. Events like this highlight the importance of coming together to celebrate traditions and create lasting memories. As families left with full stomachs and happy hearts, the anticipation for next year’s celebration surely began to grow.
