Baldur Regals capture Provincial Senior A banner

After a quick first round exit in the Border League playoffs to the Pilot Mound Pilots the Regals travelled to Carberry this past weekend to compete in the Provincial A Senior championship. There were six teams taking part on a top notch baseball diamond.
In round robin action they did not get off to a good start against the Carberry Royals and surrendered six runs in the first inning and were handed 10-2 loss.

In their second round robin game on Saturday they faced St. Boniface and came away with an 8-3 win behind a strong pitching performance by Ayden Barr. He threw a complete 87 pitch game and the bats were alive also they had a strong defensive game.

This placed them second in their round robin and a date with Reston Sunday’s semi-final.

Landon Gudnason and Lachlan Jones both had very solid games on the mound to lead their team to a 5-2 over Reston. Mike Reykdal led the offence with 2 hits and an RBI and Griffin Anderson added a clutch RBI single in the fifth inning. The infield turned a couple of key double plays as well to advance them to final.

In the final, the Regals were up against Springfield of the Winnipeg Senior Baseball League.

The Regals were down 1-0 after three innings but Raegan Johnson gave the Regals the lead in the fourth with a homerun bringing in brother Jaden. Mike Reykdal’s bat stayed hot adding a 2 RBI single and the Regals came up with a 5-3 win behind very good pitching efforts of Mike Wytinck and Austin Dubyts to secure the 2025 Provincial A Senior championship. The team put together another good defensive effort.

This was a great way to end the 2025 baseball season!
