Medical Clinic is on track and is looking great
RM of Glenboro – South Cypress Councillor Dale Fisher is a strong community supporter and the Council representative on the Spirit Sands Medical Clinic board.
We recently spoke with Dale on the changes happening at the new clinic, the new doctor that will soon be starting full time in Glenboro, and the housing accommodations that are made available to assist the health care staff.
“The Clinic build is on track and is looking great. The doors are being installed, and the flooring is ready to go in. There is still a lot to do, but we are closing in on completing this project.
We were all sad to hear of Dr. SalimArouny’s departure. She and her family had become a pivotal part of our community and healthcare environment, and we fully understand how difficult it was for her to decide to leave the area they had called home. We wish her and her family the very best in their future endeavours.
We are so fortunate to have Dr. Syed stepping in to provide locum services until March 30, when he will join our outstanding complement of health care providers at Glenboro Hospital and Clinic which serves not only the residents of Glenboro but also those from surrounding areas.
Finding accommodations in Glenboro can be difficult, so we have secured two rental units for our health care providers: a two-bedroom apartment in Duncan Place and a one-bedroom unit in Glenhaven Manor. Both rental units are in close proximity to the hospital and Clinic.
We are all dedicated to ensuring our health care services in Glenboro remain viable and available for many more generations to come.”
