Belmont Fall Supper remains very popular

On Sunday, September 21, Belmont Hall was alive with excitement as guests arrived for the highly anticipated Harvest Moon Fall Supper, a fundraising event for Belmont Music in the Park.

The beautifully decorated hall, which featured a fall theme accented by a stunning Harvest Moon backdrop, instantly set a festive and welcoming mood.

The Belmont Music in the Park Committee exceeded expectations, efficiently serving over 340 people during the evening.

Guests enjoyed a flawlessly prepared meal with perfectly roasted turkey, savoury meatballs, creamy mashed potatoes, as well as an outstanding selection of other delectable dishes too numerous to mention.

The dessert table was nothing short of extraordinary, with an abundance of amazing options to suit every taste.

A remarkable assortment of gluten-free options ensured that everyone could indulge in both dinner and dessert.

Every detail reflected the Committee’s meticulous planning, as well as their unwavering commitment to making this Fall Supper an unparalleled community gathering.

From the 4:00 p.m. start, every seat was quickly filled, and a constant flow of guests eagerly awaited their turn for this celebrated meal.

Attendees came not only from Belmont and nearby communities but also from as far away as Melita and Winnipeg, confirming the Committee’s reputation for hosting a truly exceptional Fall Supper.
There was a couple we spoke to last year who just happened to be passing through the area and came upon the Fall Supper. This year, the couple returned, bringing four friends with them. They were all very pleased with the meal and were just getting ready to enjoy dessert when I interrupted them. The group all agreed that Belmont’s Fall Supper was the best they had ever had, commenting on the vast variety of choices available.

Organizer Vicki Gillingham rightly expressed pride when exclaiming; “We are thrilled with the turnout! Organizing this event took an enormous effort, but seeing so many people enjoying themselves makes it all worthwhile.”

The 50/50 raffle raised a total of $806, with the lucky winning ticket holder, Ray Fidler, taking home $403. According to Vicki, proceeds from the event will enhance the Belmont Music in the Park event by expanding activities for all ages, adding more music, and helping to fund shade structures and a permanent stage at Belmont Park. These upgrades will serve the community for many years to come.

Thank you to all the volunteers whose dedication and hard work ensured this year’s Harvest Moon Fall Supper was an overwhelming success.

Congratulations to the Belmont Music in the Park Committee on another successful fundraising event.
