EV charging station coming to Cypress

You may have heard (or noticed) that a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station is currently being installed in Cypress River!

Not much information can be shared at the moment; except that the installation will soon be finalized.

In support of the EV’s currently on the road, as well the anticipation of a surge of new vehicles being added, we are seeing many rural areas embracing the wave and installing charging stations, enabling the drivers of these vehicles to expand the distance they can travel and facilitate their want to further explore our province.

Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault has said that the current government is proposing that, by 2035, only EV vehicles will be available for purchase.

To achieve this goal, he shared that the current government will progressively make it easier to buy electric vehicles.

Although it has been noted that anyone with a gas powered vehicle will still be able to use them – how do you feel about the possibility of only having EV options when you are looking for a new vehicle?
