Glenboro to proceed with new clinic

2024 is shaping up to be a year of positive change and momentum for healthcare services in Glenboro.

Ron Jefferies, spokesperson for the new Glenboro Clinic, is excited to share some fantastic news on a project that has been worked on behind the scenes for “quite awhile”.

Through diligent fundraising and generous donations, the Glenboro Health Auxiliary, (in anticipation of a new Clinic), was able last year to purchase the 30,000 square foot lot at the corner of Lyall Street and Warwick Avenue – the perfect location for the new Glenboro Clinic.

Ongoing discussions with Healthcare Professionals, Councils from surrounding Rural Municipalities and Prairie Mountain Health has resulted in resounding support from all entities giving a green light to moving forward with this enormous project.

The Clinic, once completed will be approximately 3,500 square feet, outfitted with enough office space to accommodate two doctors as well as a nurse practitioner. The one level Clinic ensures it will be completely accessible to everyone.

The large lot allows for a spacious Clinic building as well as more than ample parking and an ease of access driveway providing a dedicated front door drop off and pick up space.

The new Clinic is incredible news for not only Glenboro, but also the areas surrounding Glenboro.

Ron shared that the new space will offer existing and incoming Medical staff, bright, new and comfortable facilities with up to date amenities.

Fundraising for this project will be ongoing. The plans for the new facility are currently being drawn up – Ron has said that when the drawings are available and the approximate costs have been calculated, a public meeting will be arranged to share the up to date news with everyone.

It is hoped that construction will be able to start in the fall of 2024.

Ron wanted to share how grateful everyone involved is for the incredible support of this project. If you are planning to make a donation this season, consider supporting the new Glenboro Clinic project. Donations can be made at the office of the RM of Glenboro -South Cypress.
