Many towns embracing for town wide cleanups
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Communities will soon be feeling all squeaky clean as town wide clean ups take place. Annual town wide clean ups are an annual event that many towns embrace with vigour, as community members band together to remove the build up of litter, dirt and debris we see every spring, caused by our long, harsh prairie winters. In Baldur, the Flower Committee has organized a one week town wide clean up allowing everyone to get involved. The clean up includes residents not only cleaning their own yards, but also taking time to clean boulevards, bushes, sidewalks and other public areas as well.
Tammy McIntosh, president of the Baldur Flower Committee had reached out to Baldur School asking if the students would be willing to pitch in and help.
Principal Laurie Glenn- Martindale shared the following:
“Our students are excited to dig in and help beautify our town. This project goes beyond academics. It’s about fostering a sense of community pride and responsibility. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and we at Baldur School are thrilled to contribute our young minds and helping hands. We can’t wait to see Baldur transformed by their efforts.”
The students from Baldur School as well as the staff have always been extremely supportive of Baldur’s annual town wide clean ups and the efforts they put forth make a HUGE difference!
Are you ready for it?
Baldur Town wide clean up will be taking place from June 9 through to June 15.
