Wawanesa Lions Children’s Fair turns out perfectly
The Wawanesa Lions Children’s Fair was a fantastic, family event that was fun from start to finish!
The rink was packed with adventure and included a pedal tractor course.
Kid powered pedal tractors flew around the course most expertly manoeuvring around bale obstacles, some not manoeuvring so well, but even the minor crashes were met with peels of laughter.
The local Fire Department had their fleet of trucks out on display, expertly polished and shined to perfection.
CFB Shilo had members in attendance showing off a very large specialized truck that I wasn’t able to get the details on. Let me just say the two large men standing at its front bumper were dwarfed by the size of the truck.
My dear friend Luanne and her amazing husband Carl Gibb had their gorgeous team of horses in attendance, pulling their red passenger wagon. These horse drawn wagon rides are always a crowd favourite and the seats seemed to be filled for every round.
Add to all this; face painting done by local artist Zoe Versteege and other very talented painters creating many beautiful masterpieces, several different reptiles including but not limited to a large Sulcata Tortoise, petting zoo, bouncy castles and a whole bunch of smiles!
They also had an area where you could test out your archery skills – all I am going to say is that it is harder than it looks.
Watching the bubble sumo suited participants bounce and roll around was hilarious to watch and I am guessing it was even more fun to participate in.
This was definitely one of the most fun fairs we have attended this season!
Kudos to the organizers and all of the volunteers that worked so hard to ensure this event turned out perfectly.
