Sunrise Credit Union is more than just a financial institution
Sunrise Credit Union (SCU) is more than just a financial institution in the towns they have branches in. They have all become pinnacles in their respective communities, with SCU employees becoming huge supporters of community events and needs. Whether they reside in the town or not, the SCU employees become part of the familial fabric.
On October 2, the Baldur SCU branch hosted a fundraising BBQ event for a cause that strikes close to the heart of many.
Member Services Representative, Keyghen Pilon shared that approximately 120 people attended the ‘BBQ Fundraiser for Breast Cancer’. She went on to say that, “through donations from the BBQ and t-shirts sold, we estimate that $4,000 has already been raised.”
The Baldur branch is still accepting donations and t-shirts will be available to order until October 15. For more information, please ask any of the staff members at the Baldur branch.
Keyghen expressed a heartfelt comment from the branch employees;
“As cancer is affecting more family, friends and community members, we felt that we needed to show our support and raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. The staff at Baldur Sunrise are overwhelmed with the amazing support from not only our community, but surrounding communities as well. With the support shown it shows the staff members that communities don’t view Sunrise Credit Union strictly as a place of business but there is a deeper, more personal connection of kinship.”
The Sunrise Credit Union staff wanted to thank everyone who came out and supported the event, donated and bought t-shirts.
